BMS Services Ltd of Basingstoke have kindly been supporting one of our T Level Engineering students with his industry placement.
Over the past 8 months, Taku has been gaining valuable hands-on experience as part of a team, learning how to install busbar frameworks – a great way to put his classroom skills into practice. He’s been honing his ability to interpret and follow isometric drawings, which is essential for building the structures accurately.
This placement has really helped Taku develop his practical skills, technical knowledge and teamwork abilities, including good task coordination and clear communication. He’s also shown a strong awareness of health and safety standards by consistently following the correct procedures.
We’d like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone at BMS who supported Taku during his placement, especially Liz Rees, Carol Sullivan and the Engineering team for their guidance and mentorship 🙏.
We’re delighted and very proud to share that Taku is now in discussions with BMS regarding a permanent role and he’ll also be working towards his Level 4 electrical apprenticeship. Huge congratulations to him 👏🤩👏!
